David Doman, Place 1 — David Doman is a 23-year resident of Leander ISD. His two children went to LISD schools but he is now discouraged to send his first grandchild to a public school. David's professional experience is as a tech sector business owner who built a high technology design center which now serves over 100 individuals in five locations. And, as a longtime grassroots advocate, David has led successful efforts to secure our votes and make sure every ballot is counted. As a Trustee, David's top priorities will be keeping schools financially sound, securing our campuses, bring in common sense back to the curriculum, attracting and retaining the best teachers and treating parents as full partners in their children's education.

Brandi Burkman, Place 2 — Brandi is a mom of three that recently removed her youngest from public school to homeschool, in order to protect her daughter from the ideologies that do not align with her family's values. She believes the district's focus on social justice and equity fails to provide quality education -- teaching children higher levels of thinking, not what to think. She is also concerned that parental rights have been disrespected, religious and moral values are disregarded and our children and educators have been put in the middle, often times left voiceless.
