An educator for 30 years, Francine is dedicated to giving back to the community.
She graduated with honors in Education from Texas State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in reading.
Francine taught in Leander ISD for 15 years, and was often recognized for student performance, with a particular interest in helping struggling students reach/exceed grade-level in reading.

In addition, she volunteered for the Georgetown Soccer Association for 5+ years, where she served as a board member at large and was a founding member and President of the East View Soccer Booster Club. She has actively served on PTA boards for 15 years, holding positions as Healthy Lifestyles Chair, VP of Communication, Secretary, and lead for the Yearbook.
Francine is also a certified Master Gardener who has led several area-wide children’s gardens over the last 7+ years. Her school gardening programs in Leander ISD and Williamson County include child nutrition development, helping children grow their own food, and garden clubs where families can grow their own food at home/school.
More recently, Francine has been responsible for helping organize grass roots efforts such as educating others about school policy, supporting teachers and families, vetting candidates, and undergirding local school board candidates about state and local policies. She has been a part of several statewide grassroots groups for which she assessed state curriculum adoption materials and spoke at the State Board of Education. She has also worked with other grassroots organizations to strengthen local school policies such as EFB Local focusing on empowering parental rights, and eliminating harmful materials.
